I love Dan's exuberance. Obviously, he had worked out his composition ahead, but so do most artists. I like how it seemed to connect to the audience. First they were all "hurm" ... respectful silence while the crazy artist worked. Then the gasp of "ah Hah" when they recognized the subject of the piece. Great demonstration of abstract vs concrete art.
Have you seen this blog: http://www.skulladay.blogspot.com/ He's challenged himself to create a skull a day for a year. Think he must be a graphic artist, but it's a great concept for jumpstarting creativity. One a day seems excessive, but artists should sketch each day. Hmmm.
